Your support will help create brighter futures for children and young people in care.
Every child deserves the safety and stability of a loving home, yet many children across our region are without a safe place to call home. There simply aren't enough foster carers to meet the growing need.
Proceeds from Meli's Foster a Future Breakfast have provided therapeutic services, educational support, essential items and enriching life experiences, while also easing financial pressures on carers so they can continue providing safe, nurturing homes.
Tickets are available individually or as tables of 10 - perfect for bringing colleagues, friends, or clients together for a great cause. We’d love to see you there.

Keynote speaker: Brooke Hanson OAM
We're delighted to welcome Olympic gold medallist and world champion swimmer Brooke Hanson as keynote speaker.
Brooke will share a powerful and deeply personal perspective shaped by her upbringing. Raised in a foster care household, she experienced firsthand how a nurturing home can support vulnerable children while encouraging big ambitions - including her journey to elite sport.
Her story challenges common misconceptions about fostering, demonstrating how it can create a stable, inclusive environment where all children can thrive. Brooke's experience shows that fostering can enrich family life and expand opportunities for everyone involved.
“Foster care is something very close to my heart. I grew up watching my parents open our home to children and families in crisis, and it’s shaped who I am today.
“I’ve seen first-hand the difference that a safe, caring environment can make, especially for children coming from really challenging situations. Foster carers don’t just provide a roof over someone’s head – they offer hope, safety and a sense that someone truly cares.”

Brooke Hanson - Keynote Speaker
Swimming champion Brooke Hanson OAM is one of Australia’s most recognised Olympians. After debuting for the Australian Swimming Team at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, she represented Australia more than 25 times at major international championships. In 2004, Brooke achieved her childhood dream, winning Olympic gold and silver medals in Athens. Today, she inspires audiences as a motivational speaker, wellbeing advocate, television and radio presenter, author and active mother of four. Drawing on experiences of triumph, heartache and resilience, Brooke encourages people to live with purpose, embrace challenges and prioritise what truly matters.
Myf Warhurst - MC
We’re delighted to welcome back the fabulous Myf Warhurst as our MC for the fourth time. A beloved voice in Australian entertainment, Myf’s career spans radio, TV, podcasting, and voice acting. From her early days as a music and arts journalist to her breakout role as team captain on ABC’s Spicks and Specks, Myf has become a household name. She’s also the voice of Aunt Trixie on Bluey and has hosted a number of events such as the Eurovision Song Contest and documentaries including Meet the Neighbours, Keep On Dancing and The Truth About Menopause. With her signature warmth, wit, and charm, Myf brings energy and heart to every event she hosts.
