Melinda Tankard Reist - Respectful Relationships in Current Climate

During Week 8 of this term, Sacred Heart College is delighted to have the opportunity of welcoming author, speaker, media commentator, blogger and advocate for young people, Melinda Tankard Reist.

She is best known for her work addressing sexualisation, objectification, harms of pornography, sexual exploitation, trafficking and violence against women. Melinda is the author/editor of six books and has appeared on ABC’s Q&A and The Gruen Sessions as well as many other TV and radio programs.

During the school day of Thursday 15 June, Melinda and her co-presenter Daniel Principie will speak with our Year 7 and Year 8 students. All parents will also have the opportunity of hearing Melinda speak as many may be unaware of just how pervasive and harmful these issues are to our young people.
