On 23 October 2026, step beyond the screen and experience the enchanting music of anime and video games brought to life by the 50+ members of the Woodville Concert Band in the grand auditorium of the Adelaide Town Hall.

Bringing the music of these incredible worlds to life is award winning Adelaide composer, orchestrator and conductor Dr Nathan Cummins, leading the Woodville Concert Band, an Adelaide based, not for profit community wind orchestra with a passion for bringing great music to new audiences. With a repertoire spanning classical works, film scores, but a special notoriety for video game music, the ensemble brings together musicians from across the community to create an unforgettable live musical experience.

Melodies of Worlds Beyond will be an opportunity to experience familiar themes from your favourite anime and video games in an entirely new way. Music that once only resonated from your CRT TV or handheld game console will fill the grandeur of the Adelaide Town Hall in full soaring splendour, performed live by a full wind orchestra.

Featuring brand new arrangements by Dr Cummins, this concert has everything from the high energy sounds of Sonic the Hedgehog, the unforgettable bops of the Pokémon franchise, to the dramatic haunting melodies of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Let us take you on a musical journey across generations of your favourite anime and games.
