Native Plant Giveaway
Description
The City of Melville is proud to be part of the by helping you green your garden. We are giving away pre-selected packs of 10 native plants to help our residents create beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. Whether you’re looking to attract local wildlife, find hardy coastal species, or grow a water wise garden, these packs are designed to thrive in our local environment.
This program supports:
Urban greening and canopy growth
Biodiversity and habitat creation
Waterwise gardening
Climate resilience

The packs are split into five categories:
Birds and Pollinators Pack
Silver Coastal Pack
Wildflower Pack
Wildlife Haven Pack
Feature Tree Pack
Registration Guide
To ensure a smooth pickup, your registration must include two separate tickets. Please add one of each to your cart before checking out:
Your Plant Pack: Select one native plant pack.
Your Pickup Window: Select one arrival time slot.
Important: A complete registration will show two tickets on your confirmation email.
Collection Details
When: Please arrive during your selected time slot:
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Where: City of Melville Operations Centre. General and ACROD parking is available on-site.
On the Day: Our expert City staff will be available to answer your questions and provide tips on how to help your new plants flourish!

Proof of residency required (e.g. driver’s licence or rates notice)

FAQs
- Can I get more than one pack?
Unfortunately, due to anticipated demand for this year’s native plant giveaway, we have to limit the giveaway to 10 plants per household. This is to ensure that as many City of Melville residents as possible are able to take part in this year’s giveaway.
- Can I get plants for a school, community group or local business?
This program is for residential households only. Local businesses, schools and community groups are encouraged to keep an eye out for other programs, grants and opportunities.
- Can I request plants for verge or landscaping projects on City owned land?
No, this giveaway is for private use only and does not apply to planting on City land.
