Please join us on 22 February 2024 for a Member CEO networking lunch, followed by a Q&A session with Katherine Whetton, Deputy Secretary Mental Health and Wellbeing at the Department of Health.
Katherine Whetton is responsible for leading Victoria’s mental health reform agenda, including implementing recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, and stewardship of the mental health and alcohol and other drugs services sectors. In this role, Katherine is building lived experience leadership and partnerships as central to the reforms, supporting growth of community-based services, and growing a diverse and strong mental health and AOD workforce.
Katherine has extensive government experience across social and economic portfolios. Before joining Health, she was a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Education and Training, leading development of major education reforms to achieve better outcomes for Victorian children and young people. She has also held senior executive roles in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Centre is excited to launch a series of member events in 2024 to provide opportunities to connect with fellow sector leaders across Victoria and provide member with more opportunities to collaborate, share and connect with a range of experts and leaders relevant to our sector.
