Memory (Loosely Woven) @ Humph Hall
Event description
A free, light-hearted, folky, acoustic concert/cabaret . . .
Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform two to three shows each year. Loosely Woven is the main reason Gial and I bought the former Allambie Heights Uniting Church and established Humph Hall in the first place.
Memory is the first 'brand new' for 2025 following our amazing 30th Anniversary concert 'Unwound' earlier this year. Due to time constraints there will be only 7 public performances with only one here at Humph Hall. See the Loosely Woven web site for details of the other performances.
The concert will feature 18 instrumentalists and singers.
There will be a number of well known songs including
Baker Street (Gerry Rafferty)
Coward of the County (Kenny Rogers)
Yes they call me Mimi (Puccini)
Pearly Shells
First time ever I saw your face (Barbara Striesand)
Great balls of fire (Jerry Lee Lewis)
Memory & Macavity (from the musical 'Cats')
Make you feel my love (Bob Dylan)
Chiquitita (ABBA)
Some lesser known songs:
Time (Tom Waits)
Pearly Shells
Runaway (The Corrs)
They call me Mimi (Puccini's La Boheme)
And lots more!
Instruments this time will include violins, saxophone, whistle, glockenspiel, harmonium, melodica, harp, guitars, keyboard and percussion.
