Event description
18.30 arrival and welcome|18.45Â Â kick off| 20:00 - Close
What can you contribute to and get from a typical Men’s Table* Community Get Together? Â
- We hear from local men and women who care about what is needed for men to be part of a flourishing community and hearÂ
- what is working well and has worked before?
- what has worked less well also... challenges and learning from past..
- the appetite or interest in the community for a Men's Well-being GroupÂ
- Activated & Community Minded citizens can “kick the tyres” and get comfortable with why Men's Table is different (especially from Activity and Service oriented groups) and understand the potential benefits... and establish confidence that we are a “good fit” for their community.
OUTCOME >>> If Men's Table are invited by enough people to set up a Men's Table in the Community, we work with local champions and agree an Entree Event** date for the coming months, as you to invite men from diverse cross section of community .. and explain our Men's Table coaching, ongoing support and mentoring to build a successful Table
[**What is a Men's Table Entree Event?
The Entree event is a chance to meet other men, learn about how a Table works and helping you decide whether you'd like to part of this local Men’s Table group.
It will be hosted by a couple of long-standing members of other Men's Tables, sharing their experiences from their Tables, and responding to your questions, concerns and ideas.]
[*What is the Men’s Table?
The Men’s Table is all about men serving men. The first Men's Table (MT1) began in 2011 with 12 men who have met once a month for dinner and ever since. It is now growing to become a national charity.
The Men’s Table creates a unique environment for men to share openly about their lives, their challenges, their highs and lows with a group of men who they learn to know, like and trust. Listen to three men from our Albury Men's Table (MT44) Talking 'beyond footy' has benefited Men's Table members in Albury - ABC Goulburn Murray
There's never been a better time to get connected and be part of building community. It's healthy to show up as we are with courage to lighten our load, and it is time we freed men from outdated male norms for the sake of ourselves, each other and our next generation.
The Men’s Table creates a sense of belonging, community, peer support and camaraderie that is lacking for many men, even for some who already have a group of mates.
Belonging to a Men’s Table contributes to mental, emotional and social well-being whilst being a powerful support to individual members journeys through life.
Each Men’s Table is a distinct expression of the needs and personalities of its members, established around a simple set of guidelines learned from MT1 and subsequent Tables. To remain healthy functioning and enduring groups, all Tables are supported by the Kitchen, a central office.

The Men's Table is a registered charity. There is no membership fee to be part of a Table; it's a grass roots activity driven by men in the local community.
