Get the Facts - Men's Health Week
Event description
As part of Mental Health Week, running 9-15 June 2025, our libraries will be running a special Get the Facts adult event series focusing on men’s physical and mental health.
Join health and wellbeing expert, Dean Dyer and hear new ideas about health, work and success for men.
Dean Dyer is a men's health and wellbeing expert, offering new ideas about health, work and success for men with a health promotion focus. He has worked thousands of hours with men to empower them with facts about their physical and mental health in a holistic way.
In this talk, he will address the following topics:
- Men's health and why it is so important
- Review of six risk factors for men
- How men's physical and mental health is going now
- Dealing with challenging times, stress and change
- Healthy practices for men to employ
- Protective factors for resilience and long lives
This session will also have a 15-minute Q&A session and all attendees will receive a free "Men's Health Toolkit".
