FAQs
- Is this event really free?
Yes. Completely free. No ticket price, no suggested donation at the door, no upsell. Registration is required so we can plan accordingly — that's all.
- Will I be expected to share personal things in front of the group?
No. Participation is entirely voluntary. You can come, listen, absorb everything the evening has to offer, and leave without saying a single word publicly. Many men do exactly that — and they leave having gotten what they needed. There is no pressure here.
- I'm not in a mental health crisis. Is this event still for me?
Absolutely — and in fact, that describes the majority of men who attend. This event is not an intervention or a crisis service. It is a community gathering for men who want to talk about the things that matter before they become emergencies. Investing in your mental wellness before you're in crisis is one of the wisest things a man can do.
- I'm skeptical about 'mental health' spaces. Will this feel preachy or clinical?
We hear this question a lot, and we respect it. We designed this evening specifically to feel nothing like a therapy session, a lecture, or a corporate wellness seminar. The tone is honest, grounded, and real. The men on the panel speak from lived experience, not from textbooks. Come and see for yourself — you'll know within the first 10 minutes whether it's for you.
- What kind of men will be there?
Men from every walk of life — fathers, husbands, professionals, veterans, community leaders, young men, older men, men of faith, men who aren't. What they share is a willingness to show up. That's the only requirement.
- Is this event only for men, or can women attend?
This event was intentionally designed as a men-only space. The research is clear that men open up differently — more honestly, more completely — when in environments created specifically for them. We deeply honor and appreciate the women who support the men in their lives, and we welcome sharing this page with any man who might benefit.
- Will there be mental health professionals at the event?
Yes. Licensed mental health professionals will be present throughout the evening. They are not there to conduct sessions but to be available, answer questions, and ensure the space remains supportive. A curated list of men's mental health resources in the Orlando area will also be provided.
- What if I need to leave early?
You're welcome to come and go as you need. We designed the evening with natural transition points. Come for what you can. There is no attendance requirement.
- What if I'm going through something serious and need more than one evening?
This evening is a starting point, not a finishing point. We will have mental health professionals available on-site who can speak with you privately. Resources will be available that connect you with ongoing support. And if you are in immediate crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. You do not have to wait until June 25 to reach out for help.
- Is this a one-time event, or will there be more in the future?
Our intention is to build something ongoing — a community, not just an event. Tonight is the beginning of a larger conversation. If this evening is what we believe it will be, there will be more to come.
