Description
Let's talk about (peri)menopause!
Hot flushes, sleepless nights, changing bodies, forgotten words, shifting priorities, feeling lost or stuck... Menopause (and perimenopause) brings changes to our bodies, minds and sense of self. It can feel like we're navigating unfamiliar territory, with plenty of questions and not always enough opportunity to talk about what's happening.
Join us for an engaging and relaxed evening of conversation, connection and practical insights into the changes that come with menopause.
We are three experienced professionals keen to share our knowledge and understandings about menopause and ...
Body changes and nutrition: Katrina, our dietitian, will explore how our bodies may change during menopause and how this can influence how we feel about ourselves, as well as our food and nutrition priorities.
Muscles, bones and movement: Mel, our physiotherapist, will talk about the changes menopause can bring to our muscles, bones and joints, and help us explore how movement and exercise might help us through the transition.
Changes in our brain, feelings and identity: Meredith, our psychologist, will explore changes in mood, memory, concentration and thinking, as well as the ways midlife events and changes associated with (peri)menopause can impact our sense of identity and how we think about the next chapter of our lives.
Our professional sharing section will be short and sweet so that there is plenty of time to share our experiences, ask questions and have a good chat.
Whether you're just starting to think about menopause, experiencing it now, or looking back on the journey, you're very welcome.
And, of course, what's Menopause & Margaritas without a margarita? Enjoy a margarita (or delicious mocktail) on arrival, settle in and get ready for a great conversation. Don't forget to bring a meno-friend!
Because we need to talk about menopause and remind ourselves that we are together in this!
