Join us as we explore a deeper understanding of perimenopause and menopause, along with the role that sports can play during this time. Menopause symptoms can vary widely from woman to woman, both in type and intensity, Beyond the more commonly discussed symptoms, menopause can also lead to lesser-known changes such as "brain fog", alterations in skin texture, joint pain, and sleep disturbances.
Dr Louisa Barter is a Rotorua-based GP specialising in sports, exercise, and perimenopause medicine. She supports women through perimenopause and menopause, focusing on symptom management, joint health, and vitality. With over 15 years GP experience, she delivers holistic, patient-centred care.
