Welcome to the MENS HUB \\ WA - Annual Bluff Knoll Hike!

Saturday 25th November - Sunday 26th November 2023.

For me (Kev) this has become an annual tradition over the past 3 years. And I’d love to share the journey with you brothers. creating something memorable!

I've upgraded this experience and turned it into something special that i cannot wait to share with you!

Bringing to you some of WA's finest facilitators to really hold this physically, emotionally and mentally challenging journey.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The plan is to arrive on Saturday 25th Nov between 2PM and 4:30PM, find your camp spot, set up and settle in.
SAT 5:00pm - Opening ceremony / Gathering with Keven McDougall, Tyson Cherie & Urs Hugi
SAT 6:30pm - Dinner **BYO meals** - be open to sharing meals to eat as a community.
SAT 8:00pm - Wind down and social time (prepare for an early rise)

SUN 2:00AM - Early rise
SUN 2:30AM - Leave Camp
SUN 2:45AM - Arrive at Bluff Knoll carpark
SUN 2:50AM - Pre Hike circle up
SUN 3:00AM - Begin hike (1hr 50min allowance for SUNRISE @ 4:50AM)
SUN 4:50AM - Watch the Sun rise 
SUN 5:15AM - Tea Ceremony & Breathwork with Jamie Wall & Rickie Russell (Approx. 2hrs)
SUN 7:30AM - Descend Bluff Knoll back to the carpark
SUN 9:00AM - Arrive back at carpark
SUN 9:15AM - Arrive back at camp, shower time and refresh.
SUN 9:45AM - Breakfast **BYO hot food** - Fruit and light snacks provided
SUN 10:30AM - Post hike Peak adventure & reintegration discussion with Paddy Hocking
SUN 11:30AM - Closing circle
SUN 12:00PM - Departure or hang around and socialise

Please be mindful that we could be working with/around the weather.
The hike may be delayed by a couple hours if it's unfavourable or canceled if deemed unsafe.

WHAT TO PACK FOR THE HIKE?

The weather is unpredictable at times. So prepare to be cold and hot all in the same hike.

- Hiking shoes or other suitable enclosed sturdy footwear (some of the ground can be slippery)
- Wind/Spray jacket (Valuable against the wind and rain)
- Light back pack or hydration pack (camelpack)
- Water bottle
- Some light snacks (piece of fruit, muesli bar, protein bar)
- Hiking sticks (not essential but can be helpful if you have concerns with knee's or hips)
- Head lamp (it will be dark as we go up the mountain)

WHAT FOOD DO I BRING?

** All main meals will NOT be provided, they are BYO and you will be required to cook. **

- Dinner on Saturday Night - be open to sharing meals to eat as a community.
- Breakfast & Lunch Sunday - If you want something hot to eat. (Fruit and light snacks will be provided, but will only be enough to snack on)
- Light snacks for the hike (piece of fruit, muesli bar, protein bar)
- BYO camp cooker, cookware and eating utensils. There is a large communal camp kitchen with Stoves, BBQ's and some cooking utensils - best to be prepared if these amenities are in use and its busy.

ACCOMODATION

- Your camp fees are included in the ticket pricing (Non powered site)
- BYO tent and sleeping gear (small vans, roof top tents, swags, pop up tents etc all accepted.)
- ** Caravan spot not included - Please speak to Stirling Range retreat directly to book a powered site that is suitable**
- If you prefer to book a cabin to stay in for the night, please book through Stirling Range Retreat directly.

STIRLING RANGE RETREAT AMENITIES

- Swimming pool 
- Guest laundry
- Large Camp kitchen
- Barbeques
- Shared seasonal campfires
- Walk trails around the property
- Function room (we may use this if the camp site is busy and/or wet weather)


WHAT NOT TO BRING...

- DRUGS & ALCOHOL (Hallucinogenic plant medicines included) are discouraged. This is a sober event and your optimal physical and mental health is required for the safety of yourself and others on this journey.
