Class Description

This all-levels yoga in-person class is great for beginners and those who enjoy a slower paced practice with an emphasis on spine, hip and leg stretching exercises and longer still holds in yoga poses. Come shed your clothes and inhibitions and enjoy a relaxing clothes-free and judgement-free class.

We’ll begin with a brief intention setting meditation and gentle breaths to drop in and activate presence, gently letting go of energy and thoughts that aren't serving us.

We’ll continue to flow with simple sitting and kneeling poses for our whole spine and joints. Followed by a brief sun salutation to ground us. We continue flowing through a longer standing sun salutation focusing on finding balance, hip opening, shoulder stretching, and heart opening poses. We’ll hold longer in each posture to find stretch, expansion, stamina and release in the body.

We’ll finish by finding our way back to some seated and reclined poses to enjoy more light stretching for our legs and spine before enjoying a nourishing and restful savasana, returning our thoughts to our beginning intentions.

What To Bring With You

Please bring your yoga mat, filled water bottle, and hand towel in case you get sweaty. Yoga blocks and limited amount of extra mats will be available. Light hands-on adjustments will be offered for those interested.

About Social Time, Included After Class

After class we offer a complimentary Social until 6:30pm! Stick around and chat with your fellow yogis with some provided wine and light snacks. No need to contribute! This is an opportunity to build community and connection with us in a shame-free space that promotes body-positivity and harmonious social nudity. No sexual activity will be encouraged. No worries if you cannot stay for this social time; you'll be able to leave the studio at the end of class.

About The Yoga Studio

Vinya Vino + Vinyasa is located on Balboa Ave. between a Starbucks and a Rent-A-Center.

This venue is a restaurant/bar with a private yoga studio attached inside and to the right. The yoga studio has it's own bathroom attached as well. Class will happen during regular business hours of the restaurant/bar, and the general public will be present, but will not be a bother or concern for class and social time.

Who is this class for?

This class is open to all straight, Gay, Bi, Trans, and Queer+ identifying men who enjoy or who seek a naked yoga practice in a group setting. This class is intended to be an all-levels yoga class, great for beginners! Variations will be offered throughout class for those who desire more challenge in their practice.

Do I have to get naked?

This class is meant to be for those who seek a naked practice in a group setting of likeminded men. It is a space where nudism is celebrated, encouraged, and available for all. The offering is to enjoy the class free of clothes, inhibitions, judgement, and expectation. If nudism is a newer experience for you, or a lifestyle that you're still curious about but still not feeling ready to take that step, please consider joining for class in just your favorite underwear (thongs, jocks, briefs, trunks) and see how you feel about stripping down at your own time and comfort during or after class, or not! No pressure or questions asked, no shame or guilt around your choice(s)!

What if I become aroused?

A very common question, and this actually happens not too often! It's perfectly natural for men to feel arousal or get an erection in this type of setting, particularly at the beginning of class. There is no shame or guilt around this, and please know it will not be turned into a bigger situation. You won't be asked to leave, nor will it be seen as a suggestion or an invitation of any kind. Your arousal will subside once you're relaxed and focused on your practice, and being part of this body positive environment. No sexual acts and conduct will be guided or allowed in this class and Social. The Social is meant to be a way to connect with others. Please feel empowered to chat, get to know each other, and stay connected after class for your own private fun elsewhere. This is not a space for sexual activity.

What if I'm running late or need to cancel?

If you're running late or need to cancel on the day of class, please contact Marty via email to sdnakedyoga@gmail.com in advance and you will be refunded. The studio door will be closed by 4:30pm once everyone who has RSVP’d and is expected by Marty has arrived. No entry will be allowed after that without clear prior communication.
