Would you know how to support someone facing a mental health challenge or crisis? This accredited Mental Health First Aid course will give you the tools to recognise warning signs, respond with confidence, and provide initial support until professional help is available or the situation improves.
Course Details:
🖥️ Two In Person Sessions v
📅 Monday 12 October 2026 & Tuesday 13 October 2026**
🕘 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (each day)
** Both sessions must be attended in full and the satisfactory of a short quiz to achieve a successful completion of the Mental Health First Aid Course.
Cost:
💲 Free (To residents located in the following LGAs - Ararat Rural City Council; Hindmarsh Shire Council; Horsham Rural City Council; Northern Grampians Shire Council; Southern Grampians Shire Council and West Wimmera Shire Council.
This course includes additional content on supporting young people aged 12–18, making it ideal for parents, coaches, teachers, and community members involved with youth.
✔️ Completion of a short post-course assessment qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider (valid for 3 years).

Led by Maggie Bridgewater, an accredited Mental Health First Aid facilitator with deep roots in regional Victoria, this course draws on her years of experience working with farmers and rural community members.
