Become a fully accredited Mental Health First Aider in this engaging 2-day course!

You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan. The course will empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

Venue: Newcastle Wallsend Railway Heritage building. There is mobility impaired access. 

Instructors: Penny Dillon & March Natrop 

Course includes:

  • a course manual
  • a notebook
  • a Mental Health First Aid pen
  • morning tea
  • afternoon tea

Lunch is not included. 

Free Parking: Enter from Dan Rees Street. Turn Cowper Street into Nelson Street and immediately left onto Dan Rees Street (next to the Cheesecake Shop).

If not enough participants register, we will issue a voucher for any other available courses hosted at the Wallsend location (refunds are not given).
