Mental Health First Aid Training

10 & 11 December | 10:00am – 5:00pm
Two consecutive days | Face-to-face | Melbourne

1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health condition every year. Workers are 6 times more likely to die from suicide than a workplace accident. The average mental health compensation claim costs $58,615 — nearly four times any other payout.

These aren't just statistics. They're people on your team.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally accredited, evidence-based course that gives you the practical skills and confidence to support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis — before it becomes one.

Whether you're a business owner, manager, team leader, or someone who simply wants to show up better for the people around you, this training will change how you see and respond to the people in your world.

What You'll Learn

Across two full days, you'll walk away knowing how to:

Recognise the early warning signs of common mental health conditions — including anxiety, depression, substance use, and psychosis
Start a supportive conversation with someone who is struggling — and actually know what to say
Respond confidently in a crisis — whether that's a panic attack, acute distress, or suicidal thoughts
Apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) — a clear, evidence-based framework for real situations
Know when and how to connect someone with the right professional support
