Mental Health First Aid Training (Oct 2026) - Blended Version (e-learning module and in person session)

This one day (1 day online and 1 day in person) practical, evidence‑based Mental Health First Aid course for UON students, teaches you how to recognise the signs of common mental health problems, start supportive conversations, and provide help until professional support is available.

On completion, you'll become a Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders)- a great qualification to add to your CV. Empower yourself to make a meaningful difference when it matters most.

Dates: In person day is Thursday 1st October 2026 (participants must attend the full day, as well as completing an online module before Thurs 1st Oct)

Time: 9.30am - 5pm. Includes a break for lunch.

Facilitators: Training is facilitated by experienced clinicians from the University Counselling and AccessAbility teams.

Cost: $36 (no refunds once registered and the online E-learning module link is sent to your email).

NOTE:

• It is essential that participants complete the online E-learning module in their own time prior to attending the in person workshop on the 1st October.

• The E-Learning will take about 6-7 hours.

• Registrations and payments must be finalised by 17th September to allow for 2 weeks to receive the link to the E-learning module and complete the online component prior to the workshop.

• Please allow time to prioritise and complete the E-Learning online module because once the link to the E-Learning modules have been emailed to you there can be NO REFUNDS.
