Description

Course: Mental Health First Aid Training
Duration: 2 day course | 6hrs each day |  Face-Face delivery.
Morning Tea & Lunch provided.
`No pre-learning required.

Monday 7th September, 9am-3pm
Tuesday 8th September, 9am-3pm
(attendance required both days).

Includes:

  • Official MHFA Manual to each participant.

  • MHFA Training by a Licenced Instructor.

  • MHFA Certificate of Completion upon meeting requirments.

Do you know how to safely respond when someone says they are struggling?


This course equips participants with skills to recognise and safely respond to mental health concerns. Participants will receive an accredited Certificate of Completion upon meeting requirements.

  • Local community members (18yrs +).

  • Business owners & employees.

  • Particularly anyone from the farming / agricultural communities.

  • Anyone looking for (free) accredited Professional Development.

  • Local committee members or Club management.

Due to WorkSafes Psychological health regulations (commenced 1 Dec 2025), we see a particular value in encouraging any local businesses with employees or organisations/community groups to send along a participant to help their organisation align with the regulation requirements.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental health first aid is the help you give to someone developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.

This Mental Health First Aid International course will teach you the resources and competence to safely provide support.

Who is the Instructor?

Al Gabb, Farmer & Counsellor

Born and raised on a generational family farm. Al has spent time managing the farm, in the transport industry, Agriculture contracting, volunteering in the CFA and now practices as a counsellor, a volunteer Lifeline crisis supporter, and a Mental Health First Aid instructor. With formal training and lived experience Al brings both sides of the fence together.
