Mental Wellbeing for Carers

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Caring for a loved one with disability, mental health issues or chronic illness can be overwhelming and stressful. It is important to take care of our own mental health so that we can be our best selves and thrive, rather than simply survive.

Join us for a seminar presented by Johanna Rowe from One Door Mental Health, that will focus on prioritising your own mental health and well-being. Learn about mental health, coping strategies, where to find support in the community and about building a peer support network. Enjoy morning tea and connect with other carers.

Johanna is a Family/Carer Mental Health Advocate for Hunter New England Local Health District.

This event is free for current financial FSF members.  Annual membership is available for $10 per family at https://events.humanitix.com/f...

or email info@familiessupportingfamilies.com for more information.

This seminar is generously supported by Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group. We are also very grateful to Johanna for generously donating her time and expertise to FSF.
