A lecture by University of the South Pacific Counselling lecturer Ravindra Prajapati

Speaking to us from Suva, Ravindra will share his unique insights as a teacher of counselling in the Pacific.

Dr. Ravindra K. Prajapati is a Programme Coordinator (Counselling, Community Development, Training & Assessment) at the University of the South Pacific, Pacific TAFE, Suva, Fiji . He teaches certificate and Diploma of Counselling courses.
He has earned B.A., M.A and Ph.D. in Psychology, MBA (HRM) at Maharshi Dayan and University, Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication at Vinayaka Missions University, Selam, India.
Ravindra had opportunities to work with some of the top development players at National and International level such as UNICEF, Ministry of Health, Government of India, Emmanuel Hospital Association, General Hospital, Panchhkula and Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi, India including Fiji National University, University of Fiji, Empower Pacific Fiji etc.
Dr. Prajapati was awarded the Excellent Research Paper award in Perth, Australia in 2017 and Best Research Paper Award in New York in 2015. He is an invited member of John Hopkins University research team on Psychosocial Support Services (2018). He has been a regular voluntary blood donor since 2002 and until now he has donated blood more than 70 times. Hobbies are walking, reading and playing golf.
