This group online mentor training course is 2x half day sessions: Friday arvo and Saturday morning. (**All participants must complete a volunteer mentor application form via MM website**)

Mentoring Men is a registered Australian charity providing free long-term one-to-one life mentoring programs for men Australia wide. We focus on a proactive approach, engaging Australian men who need helpful conversations and guidance to get on the right track before situations spiral into potential crisis.

Our definition of The Mentoring Men Mentor:

"A Mentor is someone who will listen, encourage, and support self-guidance and personal growth in another, whilst maintaining their own self-care”. Can this be you?

Training outcome:

Understand how the Mentor role is to listen without judgement
Learn the value of good questions and how to avoid ‘fixing’
Experience mentorship from the perspective of both Mentor and Mentee

About the training course:

The online group Mentor training course is run over 2 sessions. There is some mandatory brief e-learning to complete beforehand.

In the spirit of a support environment among like-minded individuals, this is an interactive "Cameras ON" workshop where you will work as an individual, in small groups and as a whole group. PLEASE NOTE the training may be postponed if minimum numbers are not reached.

Zoom meeting details:

The training will be online via Zoom. You will be sent a Zoom meeting link a few days prior to Day 1 of training.
