Event description

A workshop for Bingie and Meringo land managers that will focus on finding practical approaches to tackling local feral species that works for this community.

Event details:

Join South East Local Land Services for an informative workshop focused on tackling feral species on private properties in the Bingie and Meringo area. The aim is to support land managers in finding practical solutions that benefit both the community and local wildlife now and for the next ten years.

Across Australia, communities are working together to reduce the impacts of feral species at a landscape scale, using a variety of feral management tools to protect native wildlife and agricultural land.

Your local area is home to threatened shorebirds, gliders, an array of marsupials, birds, reptiles, plants, and insects, and strong agricultural land - but it’s also vulnerable to foxes, feral cats, and rabbits.

We’ll start by exploring what you already know and want to learn, then work together to answer: What practical actions can we put in place now that the community can sustain into the future?

Bring your ideas, questions, and thinking caps, and be part of shaping the next decade of local conservation.

Additional details: Catering is provided, there is ample parking and the building is accessible for all abilities.
