Description

Join ecologist Michael Longmore from the Merri Creek Management Committee for a walk along the merri merri to visit and learn about our eucalypt locals during Iuk (eel) season.

The temperatures cool, the manna gums flower, and the days and nights become equal in length. The rain moth caterpillars are underground munching on the roots of the eucalypts.  

Participants will meet at the Newlands Neighbourhood House in Coburg North and then walk down to the merri merri. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather! Please note we will be walking on uneven and possibly slippery surfaces.
