    Event description

The holiday season is nearly here, and you're invited to join us for a mindful, low-waste, festive and unplugged* event.

Come along to Impact Hub South Waikato from 4:30pm on December 4th to get in the holiday spirit and enjoy a range of festive, waste-free activities, designed to inspire a more thoughtful season ahead.

    • Furoshiki gift wrapping: Learn the Japanese art of wrapping gifts using fabric as a beautiful, reusable alternative to wrapping paper.
    • Eco-friendly ornament + decoration crafting: Create unique, planet-friendly decorations from repurposed materials to add a lovely touch to your tree.
    • Holiday attire swap: Refresh your wardrobe ahead of the holiday season by bringing some clothing to swap with others.
    • Zero-waste gifting ideas: Discover thoughtful, low-waste gift options that your friends and whānau will love.
    • Beeswax wraps making: Craft your own reusable beeswax wraps—perfect for eco-friendly food storage or as a thoughtful gift.

Plus, enjoy some home-baked Swedish Gingerbread + mulled wine (all in great company with like-minded others).

This is a chance to slow down, connect, and celebrate the season with purpose. We'd love to see you there.

    * Our Unplugged event series invites attendees to step away from their devices and embrace in-person, analogue connections. It’s a chance to unplug from the digital world we’re immersed in daily and reconnect face-to-face.
