Event description

MESHA MindRight & StoryRight for Veterans program

Join Veterans SA and program facilitators MESHA for the upcoming two-day MindRight and StoryRight for Veterans workshop.

About MindRight (Monday 9am - 5pm)

MindRight provides military members, emergency service personnel and partners with the tools to understand their values and personal identity separate to their service identity.

MindRight is a one-day workshop focused on you making choices and decisions around a future that works for you. Whether changing your role in service or transitioning, you’ll consider your goals, values and strengths as you explore your individual identity and the skills you have gained in your life so far.

This program will open the door to renewed purpose as you consider a new role, career direction or stage in life. It also explores self-care and tools to help navigate challenges along the way.

Paired with StoryRight, these workshops will set you up for success, whatever career pathway is ahead.

About StoryRight (Tuesday 9am - 5pm)

The StoryRight program is designed to connect the veteran community to navigate post-service life and provide the essential tools needed to steer through the transition process, as well as understanding how skills gained in the defence force can be applied to civilian roles.

This one-day communication workshop assists Australian military members in their transition from military to civilian life by providing the tools to translate their military, trade, rank skills and experiences into language that can be understood by civilians for promotion and employment opportunities within or outside of service.

The program also includes information on using Artificial Intelligence programs such as Chat GPT for writing biographies, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn from a ‘mentor’ who has transitioned as they discuss their experiences, challenges and learnings.
