MESHA StoryRight for Partners program

Event description

Join Veterans SA and program facilitators MESHA for the upcoming StoryRight for Partners workshop.

The StoryRight program was originally designed to connect the veteran community as they navigate post-service life and provide the essential tools needed to steer through the transition process, as well as understanding how skills gained in the defence force can be applied to civilian roles.

In an Australian-first, Veterans SA has engaged MESHA to adapt the StoryRight program to suit the unique  personal and professional needs of Defence and veteran partners. This is the first time that this partner-specific program has been offered to the community.

About the program:

StoryRight is a two-day workshop focused on how you can communicate your skills and experiences to explore new opportunities. The program also includes information on how to use AI platforms such as Chat GPT to inspire and enhance your writing when applying for jobs. Participants will develop a strong personal narrative by understanding their unique skill set and by learning effective communication methods.

Whether you’re changing role, recently relocated, just starting out in the workforce or have changed career as a result of your partner’s service, the tailored-for-partners StoryRight program will help you to navigate change both personally and professionally.

This program will be held at

The Salvation Army, Gawler
17 Edith St, Gawler East

Meals and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

For added peace-of-mind, on-site childcare will be provided during the StoryRight for Partners workshops.

The StoryRight for Partners program is run over two short days on two consecutive Mondays:

  • Monday 19 August 2024 - 10am - 2:30pm
  • Monday 26 August 2024 - 10am - 2:30pm

By registering for the program, you are committing to attend both sessions.

The program is delivered by lived-experience facilitators and will empower you to set yourself up for success as you explore new opportunities in the workplace or in your local community.

Places are limited to 12 participants per session, however we have enabled a waitlist and may add further sessions later in the year.

For those requiring childcare please select this option in the registration form. A separate form will be sent to parents to fill in as part of the childcare on-boarding process.
