The Message of the Lyrebird - Green Carpet Film Premiere

You're invited to the green carpet premiere of The Message of the Lyrebird—a captivating documentary about Australia's most extraordinary songbird.

Join Balangara Films and the Wilderness Society for an unforgettable evening of cinema, conversation, and conservation—hosted by the inimitable Madame Lark (Christine Johnston, also known as one third of The Kransky Sisters), whose mimicry pays playful tribute to the birds we stand to lose.

This award-winning film explores the lyrebird’s remarkable vocal abilities, including the possible impact of human encroachment on their songs. With heart and humour, it invites us to listen more closely to both nature and the role we play in shaping its future.

Dress in your best forest-inspired fashion, join us for a Q&A with cast and crew after the screening, and help us make a little noise for the forests that still remain.
