ABOUT THE EVENT
Join a Weaving Workshop with Aunty Karleen Green (Koori Artist) as she guides children aged 6-10 years through creating their own message stick and as she shares her stories of healing and Country along the way.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Karleen Green is an Aboriginal woman who is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills in traditional art, weaving and culture. Karleen teaches traditional ochre painting with kids through to traditional basket weaving techniques with natural fibres and plant dyes. Karleen uses natural fibres and paints (ochre) in her classes.
