About Chef Bernardina :

Oaxaca, Mexico was my home until I moved to the United States in 2007. When you ask me about my favorite foods, I have many of them but I would say that these are my favorites: Beef Soup, Tamales and fresh homemade Tortillas. I was about 12 years old when my mother taught me how to cook. I never worked in the food industry when I lived in Mexico, but since I have come to the US I first worked in fast food restaurants and then I switched to higher level American restaurants for almost 10 years. I chose this program because my passion for learning about food never ends. I like to try foods from different cultures and to share my own culture as well. This program offered the support that I was looking for to prepare myself to be more professional. After graduation I will look for new job opportunities but I really hope to have my own bakery in the future.
