MGC Ergathon Fundraising 2024

Please note that this event is for FUNDRAISING ONLY and that the Ergathon will be taking place on the 8th of November. 

On the 13th and 14th of October MGC rowers will row in relay overnight in our annual Ergathon fundraiser, with 140 rowers keeping 10 rowing machines spinning for 17 consecutive hours!

The Ergathon is our primary fundraiser, with all funds invested in equipment to support the growth and development of our rowing team.

Prizes will be available for rowers or coxes who:

1. Row the furthest overall (rower division)
2. Row the furthest (cox division)
3. Row the furthest in the junior, intermediate or senior squad
4. Raise the most funds overall for the MGC rowing team
5. Raise the most funds in the junior, intermediate or senior squad

This year, we would like to invest the funds into the purchase of additional ergometers and slides. This will enable our squad to complete a greater variety of off water sessions, as well as enable us to run more intra-squad training sessions, which are crucial in building the MGC sprit and connections between the squads.

Our target is to purchase new sweep oars, with additional proceeds to go towards a new first 8+.
