Middleton Grange School is proud to present 'OLIVER!'

‘Oliver!’ is an award-winning musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ challenging novel Oliver Twist. It follows the story of Oliver, a young orphan boy, seeking to find his true identity in a world that has stolen it from him.  The show begins in a workhouse, where he first finds his voice. And then takes us on a journey through the underworld of Victorian London where he meets a variety of broken and damaged characters - a group of street-urchin pickpockets led by the Artful Dodger, the criminal mastermind Fagin and the Brutal henchman, Bill Sykes, who are happy to take advantage of his innocence, and offer him an identity as a younger version of themselves. Despite these pressures he remains true to his essential goodness as he runs from the darkness into the light, finally finding the love and acceptance that every character in the show seems to be looking for.
