THE FACILITATOR:
Rosemary Donovan has vast experience in The Mental Health Sector in Western Australia, having worked in Corporate, Private and Not for profit sectors as well as in a Psychiatric Hospital setting. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences majoring in Counselling and Addictions, and a Grad Diploma in Educational Psychology.
Working closely with many consumers within the sector she has developed an in-depth knowledge of the issues and stigma that surround many in society who have mental illness and has a passion for promoting social and emotional wellbeing and continuing to increase awareness in the area. Her roles have also included Addictions Counselling, with 20+ years of experience as an Educator in Community Services, Addictions, Counselling and Mental Health, so she is able to offer expertise in all areas in a safe and engaging environment.
THE COURSE:
The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Course is a 12-hour program that spans 2 days on 9 & 16 September. It is an accredited course designed to enhance the mental health understanding, knowledge, practical skills, and confidence of community volunteers, local stakeholders, and Zonta members in the City of Stirling, empowering them to support others.
To achieve MHFA accreditation, committing to completing the 12-hour program is necessary.

LIMITED SPACE is available and will only accept interested individuals on a first-come, first-served basis.
BYO lunch - morning and afternoon tea/coffee will be provided.
