Join us in understanding the deep connections of Adelaide over time, and its potential for regeneration into the future.

Storying Place is a process to deepen everyone's understanding of the patterns of a place and how it wants to be. It will allow us to co-create a shared story of Adelaide’s character so each person can find their role to be in benefit to the place they call home. It's an ongoing Storying process to bring alive the essence of the living being of a region so we can collectively fall in love and care for it into the future.

This gathering will take place on unceded Ngadjuri land and we acknowledge the Traditional Owners who have cared for this place for over 60,000 years. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present.

How the day will go:
10:45 You will hear the evolution of the Clare Valley from Warrick Duthy from Watervale Hotel and the impact on Ngadjuri Culture from Aunty Angelina Harrdine-Buckskin
12:00 Included in the ticket price is a provided lunch (please let us know your dietary requirements) catered by Watervale Hotel
13:00 Aunty Angelina Harrdine-Buckskin will then have a yarn about the importance of healing Country and connection to Country and acknowledge what it gifts us and how we can come into relationship with it through knowing your sound through a clapstick ceremony
14:30 There then be a debrief and finish up

All ticket cost goes to paying for catering and to enabling Ngadjuri/Kaurna Elder Aunty Angelina Harrdine-Buckskin Cultural Sharing and Events. 
If you can afford more or less, please use the second ticket type or place a donation when prompted.

What to Bring
We will be outside for parts of the day, and it is still summer!

Footwear: we will be walking around a farm, so enclosed shoes are preferable
Sun Protection: Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Hat, light breathable long sleeve shirt
Stay Cool: Light Clothing, Cooling Towel Portable Fan
Stay Nourished: Lunch is included, however bringing snacks and a water bottle are great

2. Cohesive Communities: A commitment to listening from the heart to Country and First People's truth-telling and taking action in solidarity for 
3. Sense of Belonging: Creating a shared story while enabling the diversity of cultural stories to flourish will strengthen connection to the land and each other.
4. Informed Decisions: Understanding Adelaide’s patterns in the ecosystem and underlying social dynamics enable future actions to be in right relationship with the ecology and across communities.
5. Care for Nature: Building our relationship with the local ecology promotes stewardship and care for Nature. We are nature and when we care for nature she cares for us.

Storying Place is about weaving together the past and present to recognise the potential of Adelaide to create thriving communities that value all life.
