Following a fruitful month in London – which included her debut headline show in the UK and resulted in an invite to the Great Escape Festival 2023 as part of its First 50 – Mia Wray has arrived home, inspired as ever, and has announced her biggest Australian headline tour yet. And Sound Doctor audiences are lucky enough to have Anglesea included as part of it!
Originally from Noosa, Mia honed her craft playing bars, restaurants and country clubs up the coast, just her and her guitar, before heading to Melbourne in her late teens. After capturing the attention of fans and media alike with her debut single, the predominantly a capella ‘Work For Me’, Mia has gone on to become one of Australia’s most highly acclaimed emerging artists. Five singles in and she has graced playlist covers, had her singles added to high rotation on triple j, toured alongside the likes of The Rubens and Vance Joy and performed on national TV several times over.
