An extended version of the SOLD OUT session at MIAF 2024.
Join us for a newly expanded retrospective of Polish-Australian animator Antoinette Starkiewicz, following the success of our sold-out MIAF 2024 showcase.
A full hour of fims.
Followed by an extended Q&A panel discussion with new guest speakers as we celebrate her remarkable legacy.

Meet The Filmmaker: In Conversation With Lucy Davidson
5:45pm - 6:10pm
Lucy Davidson is joining us to having a brief chat about her latest film – “Baggage” – that was created under the umbrella of the Aardman Academy… yes, THAT Aardman.
We will screen the film and follow with a breif Q&A session.

IAD International Shorts Showcase
6:15pm - 7:30pm
A smorgasboard of short animation films.
We have an energetic range of some of the latest short animation films from arround the world. A diverse range of stories exemplifying the totally unique properties of animation.

All sessions are classified: Unclassified (M) Mature, not recommended for viewers under 15 years.

Please note that Backlot is NOT fully accessible. There are stairs with handrails, but no lift to the second floor where the cinema is located.
