MicDrop is a contemporary singing workshop for teens with a professional coach!
Do you love to sing boost their skills, try something new, and sound great doing it. Led by pro vocalist Angela Librandi, you’ll work on real techniques used by today’s artists, sing songs you actually like, and build the kind of confidence that sticks on stage and off.
Whether you’re into pop, R&B, soul or just want to see what your voice can do, this is a no-pressure, all-welcome zone. No show tunes. No auditions. Just solid skills, good vibes, and a mic with your name on it.

Day 2 - Thursday September 25th 10am - 4pm
You can come for 2 days or just one day. It's up to you!
On the second day, there will be a performance for parents to watch from 3:30-4pm
Who it’s for
Teens aged 12–17 who love to sing, whether you're just starting out, jamming in your room, or already performing. No experience needed. No auditions. Just bring your voice and your vibe.

What we’ll do at MicDrop 🎤
DAY 1: VOICE LAB: Explore + Create
🗓️ Join for Day 1 only, or as part of the full 2-day experience
Kick things off with a full day focused on developing your vocal foundation and exploring your sound in a fresh, modern way.
Includes:
Vocal technique for contemporary singing - posture, breath, tone, riffs, runs.
Smart warm-ups for stamina, flexibility and control
Try pop and indie tracks in a group setting
Rhythm, pitch and texture play
Harmonies + optional co-writing session
Wrap-up and prep for Day 2 (if you’re continuing)
🎶 Perfect if you want to branch out into contemporary singing in a fun, down-to-earth environment.
DAY 2 – PERFORMANCE LAB: Rehearse + Shine
🗓️ Join for Day 2 only, or as part of the full 2-day experience
This is the day to pull it all together – with a focus on performance, expression, and vocal delivery.
Includes:
Vocal warm-up + quick recap of Day 1 tools
Rehearse selected songs with live coaching
Try solos or small-group features (optional!)
Performance tips - mic technique, movement, mindset
Low-key dress rehearsal and final showcase
💡 All songs will be taught on the day, so you’re totally welcome even if you didn’t attend Day 1.
🌟 Over the 2 days, you’ll learn up to 5 songs - some in groups, others in pairs or clusters. The final performance features 2-3 songs, with optional solo or harmony parts.
Meet your instructor: Pro-performer - Angela Librandi
Angela Librandi is a powerhouse vocalist with over 30 years of experience on some of the biggest stages in Australia and beyond. She’s known for her soulful voice, magnetic presence, and the kind of versatility that has seen her share the stage with icons like Hugh Jackman, Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens, Ronan Keating, and the legendary Chaka Khan.
Her voice has featured on major TV shows including Dancing With The Stars, Australian Idol, Good Morning Australia, In Melbourne Tonight, and The Midday Show.
A regular at live music hotspots like Paris Cat Jazz Club and Maison Bâtard, Angela brings soul, style and serious skill to every performance.
She’s toured internationally across Italy, China, Borneo, Fiji, Hawaii, and Malaysia, performing at festivals, corporate events, and everything in between.
Offstage, Angela has dedicated more than 25 years to coaching and mentoring emerging singers, helping them find their voice and own their sound with the same energy she brings to every show.

Pricing
1-day pass (Day 1 or Day 2): $150
Standard 2-day pass: $280 (Save $20)
Early bird 2-day pass: $250 (Book before 15 August and save 10%!)
What you get for that: 12 hours with a pro vocalist, performance experience, take-home resources, new skills, and probably some new friends. Compare that to private lessons (usually $80+ per hour) and it's pretty great value.

🍎 Happy Rosh Hashanah!
Just to give you a heads-up - the first day of the workshop Wednesday 24th, is the final day of Rosh Hashanah. We totally understand that this may not work for some of the jewish students and want to acknowledge and respect that. (We’ve tried our best to make the timing work within the school holidays.)
