Guitarist Michael J Brady weaves jazz and folk sensitivities between a guitar, double bass, and drums. Based in Gadigal land Sydney he has a keen ear for texture, balancing warm swells of reverb against voice-like melodies. Fresh from an east coast tour with his Sydney trio, Brady is bringing his set to the Grand Poobah. Joined by bassist Sasha Gavlek and drummer Chris McGuinness Terry, they will play a set of original music from and improvisations from Brady’s debut record ´Brady//Donkin//Phipps’.

The group will be supported by Letters To Both Sides, a duo comprised of Charlie Westcott and Louis Monaghan exploring electronic compositions and ambient works with guitar and synths. Inspired by the likes of Mj Lenderman, Loraine James, Nala Sinephro.
