Michael Joseph Harris

MJH is among the most active guitarists and acolytes of Gypsy Jazz on the eastern seaboard. After founding The Hot Club of Baltimore and Ultrafaux Ensembles, Harris, as artistic director, launched the beloved Charm City Django Jazz Fest in Baltimore, which is celebrating its 10th year.

While he has played jazz festivals far and wide– Festival Django Reinhardt (Samois, FR), Django A-Gogo (NYC), Midwest GS Fest (Madison, WI), Django by the Sea (Maine), Napa Valley, London, Brussels, and…and… - this will be MJH’s first showcase appearance in Portland, with local Lone Fir Hot Club in support.
