Storytelling with Music Workshop

Gather inspiration and confidence to take your music and stories to new and exciting places.

In this workshop, two of Australia’s most exciting folk duos Broken Creek and Mickey & Michelle will take apart their songs and instrumental pieces and share their songwriting and compositional tools. Participants will be able to explore these tools through interactive exercises throughout the workshop.

This workshop is perfect for you if you are curious about creative writing, poetry, songwriting or music. If you love shaping words, you will learn how to translate your words into music. If you love composing music, you will explore the storytelling potential of your music, whether you are an instrumental composer or songwriter.

Bring a notepad, pen and your favourite instrument. The workshop is 2.5 hours with a break in the middle for a quick cuppa.

These duos will also be performing a beautiful concert the following evening July 3rd in CoCo Living Room.
