Micro Forest Working Bee and Discovery Day
Event description
Help care for Monash’s micro forest and learn how small green spaces make a big impact!
Join us for a hands-on afternoon at the Wellington Reserve Micro Forest, where we’ll be mulching, maintaining, and exploring this special pocket of urban nature.
Micro forests are compact, densely planted green spaces that play a powerful role in cooling our suburbs, boosting local biodiversity, and providing habitat for native wildlife.
During this event, you’ll not only help care for the forest but also take part in a guided discovery session to learn about its environmental benefits and how it contributes to a greener and cooler future.
Please note: If you have any accessibility requirements or concerns, please contact sustainability@monash.vic.gov.au in advance so we can support your participation wherever possible.
Meeting point at: Mackie Road Neighbourhood House (36-42 Mackie Rd, Mulgrave 3170)
