We can’t wait to have an amazing festival weekend with you all! x
Please be aware there are some golden rules we urge everyone to follow, to ensure minimal impact on the local community and the festival's survival.
CAMP ONLY AT DESIGNATED CAMPGROUNDS
Free camping and van camping has been flagged by local authorities as a deal breaker for Island Vibe. We urge all patrons to seek out the many accommodation options on the island - from holiday houses, hostels, resorts and campgrounds.
Visit the Accommodation page on our website for more information on accommodation options.
NO BEACH FIRES
There is a real danger of a stray spark from a beach fire blowing into the forest and causing a bushfire. This rule isn't to dampen your fun, fires pose a huge risk to the people, animals and infrastructure of Minjerribah.
PUBLIC DRINKING
Please keep any consumption of alcohol to your campsite/accommodation or public bar. Roaming the streets with alcohol will result in fines from the police and reflects poorly on the festival.
PUBLIC NUDITY
We urge all patrons to pack boardies and bikinis for the beach. As tempting as it is to get some sun on the nether regions, there have been repetitive complaints to council over beach nudity. This in turn makes it difficult for Island Vibe to get a council permit, and no permit - equals no fun!
We urge all patrons to abide by the council rules, Emergency Services advice and cultural sensitivities of the island community. Please ensure you have accommodation booked and celebrate responsibly. Thank you!! x
