Micro Memoir Writing
Event description
Join Fremantle Library as we collaborate with Night Parrot Press to host a series of workshops that will help you craft and hone your micro memoirs. Unlike traditional memoir, micro memoir offers a focused lens on real events and moments from a writer’s personal life, opening up narrative structure and POV in fresh and exciting ways for both authors and readers of the form. This first workshop will focus on getting your ideas on paper. Over 90 minutes you will learn what micro memoir is, you will be inspired with prompts and helpful tips and you will be given plenty of time to craft your own stories.
You can attend this workshop as a stand alone event or you can attend our half day editing workshop on Saturday October 11 2025. (Separate registration required).
These workshops also tie in with the Fremantle PrideFest Library exhibition so if you want help crafting your submission come along and be inspired!
