Microbes/ NameSeal carving wokshop at the Workshop bar
Description
Learn to carve a name seal or a microbe if you're a fungi guy. These seals/stamps can be used for your art, books and journaling. Depending on your interest(s), we will be carving microbes or your name seal designs into a rubber to make our stamps/seals.
For the geeks
Find your favourite microbes and carve away. An opportunity to shine a light and share your passion in medical microbiology, pathology!
For the curious ones
Traditional name seals in China in the ancient days are more than just a unique motif - they mark an identity, symbolic of status and culture. While traditionally carved on precious stones and jades, we will be carving into rubber to make our own seals.
Team microbes or team name seals, I can help you with your microbe or translate your name into Chinese if desired, or stick to roman characters with a suitable aesthetic.
Depending on your use of space on the rubber tile, you may be going home with 2-4 rubber stamps ! Happy stamping!!
This class is beginner friendly! No experience required.
