Event description
As your young person with disability reaches adulthood, you will be considering how best to support them to make plans, make decisions, be socially included, be safe, and most importantly, to have the life they want.
Join ACD for a FREE 90-minute online webinar to hear Jaquie Mills talk about Microboards and how to build a team of support around your young person.
A Microboard is a small group of people usually family, friends, and others who care. They form a team to help the young person with disability live a good life, make choices and stay connected in their community.
The aim of a Microboard is to safeguard the person’s quality of life, even when parents are no longer able to.
Learn what a Microboard is, how you can set it up, and how with careful planning, it can support your young person into the future.
Topics include:
What is a Microboard?
How Microboards support people with disability
How to create and sustain a Microboard
