Introduction to Growing Microgreens
Event description
Have you ever wanted to grow organic microgreens and sprouts? We will show you how to grow microgreens year-round with a minimum of fuss in the tiniest spaces.
Microgreens are fresh, nutrient-dense baby greens renowned for their vibrancy and vitality. Harvested soon after the first leaves appear, the concentration of nutrients is up to 40 times that of mature plants.
Microgreens can be grown most anywhere, at home, on the kitchen bench. We will show you how to organise a continuous supply; how to grow various types; and familiarise you with all the equipment and knowledge pertinent to growing.
The workshop will run out of CERES’ certified-organic vertical farm, where we grow pea shoots and sunflower sprouts for wholesale and retail.
