micro.wav records club night ft. Normal Pleasure

Microwav records is touching down in Canberra with a good ol' fashioned club night for the heads, hearts and hips. With a collection of talented and enigmatic selectors taking the reins of Shadows' infamous 4-point system, expect only a good time.

Leading the pack is Normal Pleasure for his capital debut. NP's productions, intricate and immediate in equal parts, have caught the attention of heavyweights such as Hudson Mohawke and Nikki Nair. Presenting his second album 'Melbourne's Dead!!!' amidst a slew of beloved music from his past, NP brings an experience he hopes is a bit uncommon, new - emotional, even.

Heading up the support is Kai Pizer, a DJ and producer known for his deep, hypnotic sound that draws in listeners through ambient and atmospheric soundscapes in combination with intricate textures. Kai has showcased his craft at renowned Melbourne venues such as Section 8, Solace Bar and Canberra’s One22, earning a reputation for his captivating performances. With a series of EPs set to be for released on international labels this year, Kai continues to solidify his presence amongst a growing Australian scene.

MWR head honchos will join forces once again as Arboretum to fill out the bill, along with any friends they decide to drag along.
