TALK: Taglietti, Art & Architecture | Heritage Festival 2026

Architect Enrico Taglietti developed and maintained a deep engagement with art and artists throughout his life. This talk by Virginia Rigney (CMAG Senior Curator) explores his foundational experiences in the Milan 1 1954 Triennale which focused on the theme of the connection between art and architecture, a lifelong admiration for the Pablo Piacasso’s Guernica, friendship with Lucio Fontana and engagement with contemporary Italian artists such as Mario Negri and his collaboration with Clement Meadmore for the Town House Motel in Civic. Delivered in conjuction with the Taglietti: Life in Design exhibition on show at Canberra Museum and Gallery throughout the ACT Heritage Festival.
