Mid West Star Trails - Yalgoo Telescope Night
Event description
Join ICRAR for an evening of stargazing this National Science Week!
We’re partnering up with Star Track Events and the Shire of Yalgoo and busting out our telescopes for this free stargazing event.
Come on down to the Yalgoo Core Stadium for a look through our telescopes to see the hidden wonders that lie at the heart of our galaxy the Milky Way. Also get a glimpse of the Moon, the planet Mars, and even deep space objects like the Jewel Box Cluster.
We’ll also have astronomers with us to give space talks and guided tours of the night sky, and Dr Ruby Wright will give a talk about the future collision between the Milky Way and our nearest galactic neighbour Andromeda.
This event is for anyone and everyone who is interested in space or just wants to see the night sky like you have never seen before. We will be there no matter the weather!
This is a FREE event, but we would love for you to register to let us know you’re coming.
