The Walkley Foundation invites you to attend the 2024 Mid-Year Celebration of Journalism, where we will announce winners of the John B Fairfax Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards, The June Andrews Award for Women’s Leadership in Media, Our Watch Award, Media Diversity Australia Award, The Humanitarian Storytelling Award, The June Andrews Award for Freelance Journalist of the Year, The June Andrews Award for Best Industrial Reporting, The Pascall Prize for Cultural Criticism, The June Andrews Award for Arts Journalism, and for the first time, our award for Coverage of Science and the Environment. On the night we will also announce the recipients of the Jacoby-Walkley Scholarship with Nine, the WIN News Broadcast Scholarship, the Walkley Indigenous Scholarship and the Sean Dorney Grant for Pacific Journalism.
