Midsummer Seva Retreat Volunteer Weekend
Event description
There’s no time like midsummer at the Ashram. The streams are cool, the gardens are abundant, and the land calls for care. Join us for a weekend of selfless service and Yogic living as we work together to steward this sacred ground.
This Seva Weekend will focus on maintaining and improving the Ashram’s pradakshina meditation trails—pathways used daily by Baba and Amma and recently honored during Guru Purnima, the traditional celebration of the Guru and the sacred teacher-student relationship. We’ll also be deepening the bathing pools in the mountain stream (a perfect reward after a hot day’s work!), tending midsummer gardens, and taking on a variety of seasonal projects: deck repairs, landscaping, window replacements, and more.
Summer is short in Maine, and we move with purpose. You’ll be part of the real rhythm of Ashram life—work, practice, meals, rest—with fellow Yogis dedicated to the mission of benefit for all beings.
Space is limited. Reserve your place and walk the path with us. Overnight accommodations are available at a discounted rate for those who wish to help out all weekend!
